Under Strain questions the idea of structural sustainability. A tower composed of stainless steel blocks, some removed, some slightly displaced, carries the weight beneath a disrupted system, yet is it truly standing? The work associates the illusion of integrity with this precariousness.

Collective ideals are sustained by the systems that carry them. But on whose shoulders, and for how much longer?

The structure still appears to stand; the question of whether systems are truly standing at all is left to the viewer.
