This cast aluminum chair carries the material and symbolic weight of authority. With its high back and sharp geometry, it is an object of power and it is empty. Neither occupied nor abandoned, simply there.

It stands like a monumental void, simultaneously beckoning and excluding, claiming and refusing. Power is represented through this form. The Chair exists to be looked at, to be contemplated, and to be questioned.

The space of power, presented under the assumption of shared belonging, in fact belongs to no one. The Chair regards this emptiness as a condition.
